Fendi : The history of Fendi is not as long as some of the other designers, its starts in a small town called del Plebiscito. It was started by a couple that was recently married, by the names of Edoardo and Adele Fendi.

Mr. and Mrs. Fendi opened up a tiny shop that sold leathergoods in the via del Plebiscito. Because of the very high quality of the bags, the high quality of furs and skilled workmanship that went into making them, the leathergoods and the company were an instant success.

Because of the great success the company was having, they made the call to expand and opened an even bigger shop in Veneto. As the Fendi business grew, their high quality work with fur expanded the Fendi name, and it was becoming famous in areas far from their shop, in countries such as Rome. The Italian women especially were going crazy over the Fendi products, and their name like today soon becomes associated with high quality and fashion merchandise.

In the year of 1966, fendi released its first couture line, which was completely designed by the designer Karl Lagerfield. This line does extremely well, and the internetional market is now paying very close attention to Fendi, the new name in the business.

Fendi now his the United States, with the handbags making their first appearance in New York, and soon afterwards in California, for the hollwood stars. In around 1980's, Fendi's entire line of fur and ready to wear goods were set and under-going an amazing success, so the company decides to dabble into other forms of designer goods. The company started producing coats and dresses, and even shoes!

Fendi further extended their areas of marketing in the years to come, and some people within the company call it the full steam ahead years. They started manufacturing numerous new products, such as ties, jeans, gloves, hats, ties, lighters, pens and countless other items the fashionable would love.

The next move Fendi made was in the cologne and fragrance area. The Fendi cologne was a great success with men, outselling colognes such as Curve. With the women's fashion world under control, in 1990 Fendi launched ints Meswear project, with gave men of the world fashionable items to add to their wardrobe.

The Fendi company continues to grow, with each season new designs coming out. The current company employs over 1,000 employees, and over 5,000 people involved in the Fendi future.
